Danny & Tina Slimp serve as lead pastors here at Cornerstone Church.
They were elected for that position in September of 2008. Danny & Tina have four grown boys, two of the four attend
Cornerstone and have an active roles in the church. Danny & Tina have seven grandchildren.
Prior to serving
at Cornerstone Church, the Slimp's served in the music and children's ministries in Sunset, Texas.
Danny is passionate about God's Word and loves to tell about it. Tina has a heart for the children of the church
and continues to work with the children here at Cornerstone.

Type of Music...........................................I don't listen to a lot of music while
driving, I like the peace and quiet of the ride, but when I do listen I like southern gospel music, praise and worship.
My hobbies...............................................Although I really do not have time, I love to go camping,
I love the outdoors, the fresh clean air, an early morning rise while it is still crisp outside... get the picture
My Favorite movies................................. I would have to say begins with fire proof, then facing the giants,
any movie that inspires us to carry on doing what God has called us to do and if we fall, to get up and get back after it
again....
Most people don't know that retired from being a Sheriff's deputy after 19 years of service.

Cornerstone Church's Worship Team consisting
of from left to right, Pat Teague, Evelyn Acklie, Tina Slimp, Jody Slimp and sitting Jerald Teague. These people sacrifice
several hours a week to practice and put together at the direction of the Holy Spirit the weekly song service. They
will be the first to tell you that they are not professionals, but they do love to sing for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.
If you are new to the area and would like to become part
of the worship team or if you play an instrument, practices are on Thursday nights at 7:00pm. Come on out audition for
the worship team. We would love to have you as a blessing in the church. And if you want to sing a special song
during any one of the services, get with Jody Slimp and tell him your wishes. We are happy to have those come up and
bless us with a special song. Just let him know so he can fit you into the service schedule....
